Janda Baik & Bentong Nature Escape

Janda Baik is a peaceful highland village in Pahang known for rainforest scenery, clear streams, fruit farms and relaxed countryside stays. Continue to Bentong for an old-town walk, local markets and famous food stops. From Kuala Lumpur, allow around 1–1.5 hours to reach the area, with extra time for weekend traffic and wet weather. WHAT TO SEE

Enjoy the riverside scenery around the Benus River and Pulau Santap, visit a farm or jungle café, or pre-book an activity such as cycling, rafting or ATV riding with a reputable operator. In Bentong, explore the old town, morning market, Bentong Gallery and local food shops. Continue to Bentong in the afternoon for the old town, market area and food shopping. Begin the return journey before dark, especially during rain or busy weekends. DRIVING, PARKING & WEATHER GUIDE

Keep a valid toll-payment method ready and check current traffic before entering the expressway. Karak Highway has slopes, bends and heavy weekend traffic, so stay within the speed limit, keep a safe distance and never stop on the shoulder for photographs. Village roads in Janda Baik can be narrow and shared with motorcycles, cyclists and pedestrians. Park only in designated areas and do not enter private resorts, farms or riverside land without permission.
